Bon Jovi - Living On A Prayer (Album Slippery When Wet 1986)
Crush Tour" Live Concert in Zurich 2000, Switzerland
Bon Jovi is an American rock band from Sayreville, New Jersey. Formed in 1983, Bon Jovi consists of lead singer and namesake Jon Bon Jovi (born John Francis Bongiovi, Jr.), pianist and keyboard player David Bryan, and drummer Tico Torres. The band's lineup has remained mostly static during its history, with the only exceptions being the 1994 dismissal of bass player Alec John Such, who was unofficially replaced by Hugh McDonald, and the departure of longtime guitarist and co-songwriter Richie Sambora in 2013.
In 1986, Bon Jovi achieved widespread global recognition with their third album, Slippery When Wet. The band's fourth album, New Jersey was equally successful in 1988. After touring and recording non-stop during the late 1980s, the band went on hiatus following the New Jersey Tour in 1990, during which time Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora both released successful solo albums. In 1992, the band returned with the album Keep the Faith. Their 2000 single "It's My Life", which followed a second hiatus, successfully introduced the band to a younger audience. Bon Jovi have been known to use different styles in their music, which has included country for their 2007 album Lost Highway.
On March 12, 2013, Bon Jovi released their 12th studio album, What About Now. Thus far, Bon Jovi has released 13 studioalbums, plus two compilations and two live albums. They are one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time, having sold more than 130 million records worldwide and performed more than 2,700 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 34 million fans. Bon Jovi was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2006. The bandwas also honored with the Award of Merit at the American Music Awards in 2004, and as songwriters and collaborators, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora were inducted into Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2009.
Gear Up For Battlefield 4 Night Operations
When you talk, we listen, and when we heard that the Battlefield community wanted a new night map, we set out to make this idea a reality. It’ll be coming in Battlefield 4™ Night Operations, hitting the Battlefield in September 2015.
STARTING THE GRAVEYARD SHIFT
We quickly realized there was more to it than just making a pretty map. It would need to feature a new sound landscape, destructible lights, and a different sort of gameplay. This lead to us focusing on the creation of Zavod: Graveyard Shift, based on Zavod 311, a new map that brings with it several improvements and tweaks to allow for more stealthy and tactical gameplay.
We touched things like passive/active spotting to make it easier to flank your opponent. We’ve improved the sound system so you can pinpoint where those footsteps come from. Additionally, we’ve also given the gadgets and tools of the night an improvement pass to make them shine in the dark (but less so during the day).
Zavod: Graveyard Shift supports the standard game modes: Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch, Obliteration, Domination and Gun Master. When playing Gun Master (which plays very differently at night), we realized it would be cool to have a second, even darker layout – one with a special new Weapons Preset specifically tailored for nighttime. So, we made one – this is the first time we created a secondary layout to a map for any game mode.
IT’S NOT ALL NIGHT
While the focus of this release has been night gameplay, we have several other improvements and new features as well. There’s a new public server team balancer, some weapons tweaks, and additional netcode improvements.
You have to adapt to survive here, and we hope you like it as much as we do!
Stay tuned as DICE will be rolling out more information about Battlefield 4 Night Operations soon.
See you on the Battlefield!
DICE: All Future Battlefield 4 Content Will Be Free
All future content will be free for both Premium and Non-Premium players
DICE is working on a lot of extra content for Battlefield 4. We’re getting night maps, a brand new community map, and some unannounced content as well.
But Battlefield 4 players have been asking whether all this new content will be free, and DICE has now confirmed that, yes, all future BF4 content will be free of charge for all players.
DICE’s David Sirland confirmed that all future content will be free for everyone, that includes both Premium and non-Premium players. The new content includes both the new maps, and the upcoming Gunmaster game mode and new weapons.
The upcoming Spring patch will include the Gunmaster game mode and 5 new weapons, including the AN-94 assault rifle. All of these will be free for everyone.
In the future, the Night Maps update will include night versions of several maps, including Siege of Shanghai, Zavod 311, and Golmud Railway. You can check out some Battlefield 4 night maps screenshots here.
Finally, this Summer, DICE will release the brand new community map, which recently entered production. In addition to the community map, an unannounced map remake from a former Battlefield game is also in the works and will be released in the future.
Overall, Battlefield 4 players have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming months.
Crush Your Enemies
“If one ember is left alight,
no matter how dimly it smolders,
a fire will eventually break out”
Law 15: Crush your enemies. Completely.
Do not sympathize with enemies. When you pity or hope for reconciliation, it will make you hesitate and leave you open for attack or manipulation. They may act friendly for the time being, but they will eventually destroy you. An enemy that is left around is like a half-dead viper that you nurse back to health. This is all the truer with a former friend who has become an enemy. The law governing fatal antagonisms reads: Reconciliation is out of the question. You must exterminate, crush, and deny them the chance to return to haunt you.
Anything that deters me from my goal is my enemy.
Having said that, understand that we are our own worst enemy, because nothing and no one can deter us from our goals but ourselves. No one has that kind of power over you, but you. Do not attempt to reconcile your goals or compromise your ambitions. This world does not entertain the childhood fables of ‘good things happen to good people.’ You might deserve the best, but unless you negotiate it, work for it, and actively pursue it, you will not get it. Your goals will be achieved by someone else. Your dreams will be stolen.
Applying this power to cultivate our personal power means we must annihilate all the negativity and ill-influences that plague our lives, bodies, spirits and minds. Completely. Entirely. If we keep even a shred of it around, it will fester. Be it resent, insecurity, hatred or despise, we will incur the damage of harboring that poison in our bodies, minds and spirits.
